My work is an exploration of visual planes and volumes that define a space. Influences came from geometric forms in nature and architecture, which is communicated through a number of mediums. In order for me to study planes and volumes, I needed to explore different mediums and not restrict myself in the process. The illusion of space is portrayed in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional pieces. While developing this body of work, I've had the opportunity to immerse myself in the study of planes and volumes. Understanding the relationship has allowed me to challenge myself artistically. My pieces explore these elements through different shapes such as geometric, organic, and abstract forms. Through this experience, I have developed a great understanding of these visual elements.
